Documenting the work again

Why I’m making space to record the experiments, decisions, and lessons behind what I build.

I’ve always learned best by making things. The harder part has been slowing down long enough to record what happened: what worked, what failed, and what I understand now that I didn’t understand when I started.

This site is a return to that habit.

What I’m working on

Right now, most of my energy is going into two products:

  • Cyberdeck, a keyboard-first command center for working with multiple local coding agents.
  • ClimbSite, a trip-planning tool that connects climbing areas with camping, approaches, parking, and the other details that shape a weekend outside.

They’re very different products, but both are teaching me how to turn an idea into something useful—and how AI changes the way that work gets done.

What belongs here

These field notes won’t all be polished essays. Some will be build logs, short lessons, decisions I want to remember, or experiments that didn’t work. Others will become deeper case studies as the projects mature.

The goal is simple: document the progress while it’s happening, make my thinking visible, and build a more honest record of the work.

There’s more to come.
